With a simple "I won the race today" on his Facebook page, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Jeremiah Johnson announced his victory over America's Mountain at the 92nd running of the Pikes Pk International Hill Climb. Johnson secured a time of 12:20.448.
Johnson piloted a modified Brutus V2 Rocket up the 12.42 miles (19.99 km) over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 ft (1,440 m) from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,110 ft (4,300 m), on grades averaging 7%.
The Hawaii native raced last year on a Zero EV motorcycle at 12:05.612, however that time didn't win his division in 2013. "We were developing the bike (Brutus) as we were practicing and drove it at speed on the second day of practice. Last year we had practiced a lot more."
This year he was able to attain victory even though his new bike was a little slower than last year. "The win was completely unexpected" Johnson told me this morning. [Update] "The speed of this year's bike is actually faster, but the time of the runs on last year's bike was a little faster. We are continuing our development of this brand new bike and are hoping to be showing some really fast race speed soon. Stay tuned for a lot more race results from this bike."
He explained that his competitor "Yoshihiro Kishimoto crashed, but he did get up and finish. His bike was much lighter and had better handling, but our bike was faster. This gave us different results for different parts of the track."

How did you modify the bike to comfortably ride with such large brass balls?
